About the RAIN Scholarship Program

Founded in 2019 (RC Number: RC1607482), RAIN was established to bridge the talent gap in Nigeria and West Africa’s Fourth Industrial Revolution sectors. Their core mission is to build local capacity in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Automation by providing intensive hands-on training and mentorship to passionate learners.

The 12 to 24-month program is created to transform recent graduates into skilled professionals ready to contribute to Africa’s tech ecosystem.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the RAIN Scholarship, candidates must meet the following conditions:

Academic Background:

Recent graduates, preferably with First-Class or strong Second-Class Upper degrees.
Degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.
Strong academic references from university faculty.

Technical Prerequisites:

Solid understanding of programming (Python, C++, or C preferred).
Demonstrated interest in robotics, AI, automation, or IoT.
Must own a laptop (16GB RAM, Core i7 recommended).
Willingness to relocate to Ibadan for the duration of the program.

Nationality & Residency:

Open to Nigerians and other West African nationals with legal study status in Nigeria.

Scholarship Benefits

Recipients of the RAIN Scholarship will receive:

Tuition coverage valued up to ₦7.7 million.
Starter Kit for robotics and embedded system projects.
Full-time training spanning 12 to 24 months, depending on the program track.
