Job Overview

As an IT Officer, you will serve as the first line of technical support across the organization, managing user issues, coordinating with external vendors, and contributing to broader IT and security projects.

This role requires a strong grasp of cybersecurity fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide end-user IT support, managing user accounts, and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Coordinate with external IT service providers for issue resolution and performance updates
  •  Support IT service management, including information security protocols, digital safety policies, and incident response
  •  Collaborate on organization-wide rollouts of new tools, platforms, policies, and systems
Requirements
  • Degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a related IT field
  •  Minimum of three years in a technical support/help desk role, including administration of Google Workspace and Office 365 environments
  •  Experience with incident management and organizational security protocols
  • Strong grasp of cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • ITIL 4 Foundation Certification or equivalent service management qualification
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or other cloud platform certifications
  • Experience working in nonprofit or NGO environments, particularly in IT & Security roles
