MTN Nigeria Media Innovation Fellowship 2025 is a Fully Funded Training for Journalists and media personnel.

Continuing the Legacy of Media Excellence and building on the success of the previous three cohorts, MTN Nigeria is set to sponsor the 4th edition of the Media Innovation Fellowship (MIF) in collaboration with the School of Media and Communication (SMC), Pan-Atlantic University.

Programme Overview

The MTN MIF is a 6-week immersive training programme spread over six months. It equips media practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and innovative approaches required to navigate the evolving media landscape.

This fully-funded programme runs from May 19 to October 24, 2025, and will select 20 outstanding journalists from diverse media organizations across Nigeria.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a media practitioner or content creator in Nigeria.
  • Possess a valid international passport.
  • Pass a written test and subsequent interview(s).
  • Obtain a written release from their employer to participate.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the selection test.

  • 70+ Class sessions
  • 19 Days on campus
  • 5 Days off-campus fieldwork
  • 2 Days at MTN offices
  • 7 Days in South Africa
  • 1 Day at an Innovation Hub
  • 1 Day in nature
  • 1 Day for a final capstone project
