Program Overview
The Leventis Foundation is committed to developing a new generation of skilled agricultural professionals who will drive innovation and transformation in Nigeria’s food production system.
Importantly, This training program is completely free for participants and aims to empower them with knowledge, hands-on experience, and industry best practices.
In addition, the Foundation since its establishment in 1987 has played a pivotal role in agricultural education, with six specialized training schools located across various agro-ecological zones in Nigeria.
These schools also operate in partnership with the Leventis Foundation and State Governments and are strategically positioned in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Osun, Kano, and Gombe states.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the 2025 Leventis Foundation Agricultural Training Program, applicants must:
- Be physically fit.
- Possess basic literacy in English (minimum qualification: Secondary School Leaving Certificate may be required).
- Be between 18 and 40 years old.
Pass a written and oral assessment.
Show a genuine interest in agriculture and agro-business - Have a farming background is an added advantage.
Program Benefits

- Required Documents for Screening
Shortlisted applicants must bring the following documents on the screening day:
- A handwritten cover letter.
- A letter of attestation signed by either the Chairman/Secretary of the Local Government of Origin or a Justice of the Peace (JP).
- Two (2) recent passport-sized photographs.
- Three (3) reference letters.
Photocopies of academic qualifications or any other relevant documents.
