What Does the Scholarship Cover?

1. Summer & Winter School Scholarships

• Tuition coverage up to €700 for one course per applicant
• Accommodation support of €25 per night (maximum 4 weeks)
• Funds are directly paid to the host university

2. Degree and Exchange Study Scholarships

• Financial support for Master’s and PhD programs
• Limited undergraduate funding for Estonian language and culture studies
• Available for students pursuing full-time or exchange studies in Estonia

3. Researcher & Academic Staff Grants

• Supports foreign researchers and academic staff engaged in research or teaching at Estonian institutions
• Applicants must hold an academic position at their home university
• Funding covers research or teaching activities at Estonian universities

Eligibility Requirements

The Summer & Winter Schools:

• Open to Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students who have completed at least one academic year
• Requires pre-registration confirmation from the Estonian course organizer

Degree and Exchange Studies:

• Open to Master’s and PhD students in any field
• Undergraduate scholarships are limited to Estonian language and culture studies

Researchers & Academic Staff:

• Must be employed in an academic position at a foreign university
• Must have an official invitation from an Estonian university for research or teaching

Required Documents

• Completed application form
• Motivation letter
• Proof of enrollment or employment at home institution
• Course registration confirmation
• Valid passport or ID (translated into English or Estonian if necessary)

For Summer & Winter School Scholarships & Academic Grants:

• Application Opens: March 17, 2025
• Deadline: April 16, 2025 (23:59 Estonian time)
• Results Announced: June 2025

For Degree and Exchange Study Scholarships:

• Application dates for the 2025/2026 academic year will be announced separately in May 2025
