Eligibility Criteria for the 2026 Eric Bleumink Scholarship
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Receive provisional or unconditional admission to a Master’s program at the University of Groningen before February. Only admitted students are eligible for nomination.
- Demonstrate outstanding academic performance, supported by recommendation letters.
- Have excellent undergraduate grades.
- Meet the English language proficiency requirements for their chosen program.
- Be available for the entire duration of the Master’s program.
- Be in good health and covered by health insurance.

- Have no alternative financial resources to fund their studies.

Scholarship Benefits and Duration
The Eric Bleumink Scholarship is awarded for either one or two years, depending on the Master’s program. It covers:
- Full tuition fees
- Round-trip international airfare
- Living expenses
- Study materials (books, supplies, etc.)
- Comprehensive health insurance
How to Apply for the Eric Bleumink Scholarship 2026
- Submit your application to the University of Groningen before December 1, 2025.
- Wait for Admission Notification _ Only candidates who receive provisional or unconditional admission before February will be considered.
- Scholarship Nomination – The University of Groningen Admission Office, in collaboration with faculty selection committees, will review and nominate eligible applicants for the Eric Bleumink Fund.
- Final Selection and Grant Award – If selected, you will be notified and awarded the scholarship to begin your studies in 2026.
Note:There is no separate scholarship application. The selection is based on your Master’s program admission.
