Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board Opens 2024/2025 SSAS Bursary Application: How to Apply

In a bid to support students of Delta State origin, the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board has announced the commencement of the online bursary registration for the 2024/2025 Students Special Assistance Scheme (SSAS). This initiative seeks to alleviate the financial burden of higher education for eligible students across the state.

About the SSAS Bursary Award Programme

The Students Special Assistance Scheme (SSAS) is a bursary award program by the Delta State Government. It provides financial support to qualified full-time students of Delta State origin enrolled in tertiary institutions approved by the government. This year’s application is now open and will run for four weeks from Tuesday, April 15th to Wednesday, May 14th, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the bursary award, applicants must meet the following conditions:

• Be of Delta State origin.
• Possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
• Be a full-time student in a government-approved public or private tertiary institution (Postgraduate, Masters, and PhD students are not eligible).
• Have a CGPA of 2.20 or above in the last academic session.
• Be in second year or above (i.e., 200 level and above in universities, ND II and HND II in polytechnics, NCE II-III in colleges of education).
• Have an account with a CBN-approved commercial bank.

How to Apply

Application is strictly online. Follow the steps below to complete your registration:

1. Visit the official website: www.dsbsb.dl.gov.ng
2. Click on the “APPLY NOW” button to access and fill the bursary form.
3. Pay a non-refundable fee of ₦800 (Eight Hundred Naira Only) using a debit card for processing.
4. Download and print the Acknowledgement Card for your records.

Important Note

• The application portal is open for a limited time – from April 15 to May 14, 2025.
• Physical verification will be carried out after the online registration process ends.
