About the DAAD Rosa Luxemburg Scholarship 2025

The Rosa Luxemburg Foundation (RLF), affiliated with Germany’s Left Party (DIE LINKE), is a politically-oriented educational institution that provides support for socially engaged students pursuing postgraduate and doctoral degrees.

This scholarship is targeted  at students who are not only academically capable but also demonstrate a commitment to the foundation’s core values—social justice,  equality, and solidarity.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Have an academic supervisor in Germany (for PhD candidates)
  • Hold an excellent academic record (graduate degree)

Scholarship Benefits

PhD Students:

  • €1,450 monthly stipend
