The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) has officially opened entries for its 2025 Annual Essay Competition, a prestigious platform where students share thought-provoking insights on pressing HR-related topics.
This year’s competition offers participants the chance to win from a ₦750,000 prize pool, receive professional HRM books, and enjoy exclusive exposure to top employers in Nigeria. Winners will also be treated to an all-expense-paid trip to Abuja for the CIPM 2025 International Conference & Exhibition, along with free student membership registration
About the 2025 CIPM Essay Competition
The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) was established in 1968 and has long served as the professional body for HR practitioners in Nigeria.
Through this annual competition, CIPM aims to cultivate academic excellence, elevate public discourse on workplace trends, and engage future HR leaders.
This year’s essay theme is timely and impactful:
Topic:
“Employee Mental Health and Wellness: The Role of HR in Creating a Resilient and Supportive Workplace.”
Participants are expected to explore how Human Resources can address employee mental health challenges, foster resilience, and build supportive workplace cultures amidst evolving workplace dynamics.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate, you must:
- Be a current undergraduate student enrolled in a Nigerian university or polytechnic.
- Submit an original essay (not exceeding 3,000 words) with local and international journal standards.
- Use APA referencing style, with Times New Roman, font size 12, double-line spacing, and submit the work in MS Word format only.
- Ensure your work is 100% plagiarism-free. Any plagiarized submission will be disqualified.
