ADMISSION INTO THE 12TH REGULAR COURSE OF THE NIGERIA POLICE ACADEMY, WUDIL – 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Federal Government of Nigeria, in 2012, upgraded the Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, into a degree-awarding institution recognized by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

It offers a unique blend of academic and police training, aimed at producing well-rounded officers for the Nigeria Police Force.

Admission Announcement 

Applications are now open for the 12th Regular Course Degree Programmes at the Academy. The online application portal will remain open from July 28, 2025, to September 8, 2025.

Admission Requirements :

ADMISSION INTO THE 12TH REGULAR COURSE OF THE NIGERIA POLICE ACADEMY, WUDIL

Applicants must:

1. Be Nigerian citizens by birth with a valid National Identity Number (NIN).
2. Have scored 180 and above in the 2025 JAMB and chosen POLAC as first choice.
3. Possess a minimum of six (6) credits in not more than two sittings (WAEC/NECO), including English and Mathematics.
4. Be aged between 16 and 21 years as of October 31, 2025.
5. Meet physical and medical fitness requirements:
   • Minimum height: 1.67m (male), 1.64m (female).
   • Chest measurement (male): minimum 86cm (34 inches).
6. Be unmarried and not pregnant at the time of admission.
7. Have a valid email address and phone number.
8. Present SSCE results from 2021 onwards only.

How to Apply

• Visit the Academy’s portal: www.admission.polac.edu.ng.
• Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and pay a non-refundable fee of ₦6,000 (including ₦2,000 for the Post-UTME exam) via any commercial bank.
• Fill and submit the online application form, uploading scanned copies of:
  • SSCE result
  • Birth certificate
  • Certificate of origin
• Print the completed form and guarantor form, and bring them along during the Aptitude Test.

Screening and Selection Process

1. Aptitude Test (CBT): All applicants must sit for a computer-based test at the Academy. Test date will be announced.
2. Automated Physical Screening: Candidates who pass the CBT will present the originals of the following:
   • Academic credentials
   • Birth certificate
   • Medical fitness report
   • Certificates of good character and local government origin
   • Guarantor form signed by a qualified public officer
3. Medical Screening: Successful candidates proceed to automated medical checks.
4. Interview/Final Selection: Final candidates will undergo an automated interview process.
5. Admission Notification: All successful applicants will be notified via email and SMS.
6. Training Commencement: Admitted candidates will begin training on a date to be communicated.

A. Faculty of Humanities & Education

• B.A. English, History & Int’l Studies, Linguistics, etc.
• B.Ed. English, History, Psychology, Education Management, etc.

B. Faculty of Science

• B.Sc. in Biochemistry, Forensic Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.

C. Faculty of Social and Management Sciences

• B.Sc. in Political Science, Criminology, Sociology, Accounting, etc.

Programme Duration and Outcome

Successful applicants will undergo 5 years of academic and police training, after which they will graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree and be commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP).
