The Role
Ektimisi is on the lookout for a detail-driven and resourceful Project Officer & Report Writer to contribute remotely on a project-by-project basis. This role plays a key part in coordinating projects, producing top-quality reports, and assisting with proposal development within the Implementation Department.
In addition, the compensation structure is task-oriented, with payments tied to specific deliverables and agreed milestones. Key Duties & Responsibilities Â
Project Coordination & Implementation
- Support day-to-day project management and track deliverables.
- Represent the team in meetings when required.
- Assist in developing presentations and internal briefings.
- Maintain and monitor the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP).
- Facilitate communication with field teams using tools like WhatsApp.
- Organize project files and documentation in platforms like SharePoint.
- Ensure proper archiving and accessibility of project outputs.
Reporting & Technical Contributions
- Draft and polish detailed technical reports (monitoring, research, evaluations).
- Collaborate with technical staff and project leads for report development.
- Contribute to creating data tools and standardized report templates.
- Assist with proposal writing by compiling technical content and contextual summaries.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- At least 4 years of experience in the humanitarian or development sectors.
- Proven skills in writing technical reports for INGOs, UN bodies, or donor-funded initiatives.
- Solid understanding of research practices and data collection methods.
- Exceptional written and spoken English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Strong multitasking and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Comfortable working independently in remote settings with reliable communication.
