This 6-month remote opportunity offers an immersive learning experience within AfricaNenda’s Advocacy and Capacity Development team, where you’ll support critical initiatives that advance inclusive instant payment systems (IIPS) and strengthen cross-border financial connectivity across Africa.

Responsibilities
As a Program Support Intern, you will play an integral role in AfricaNenda’s efforts to promote inclusive digital financial ecosystems. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Research & Strategic Analysis
Conduct desk research and synthesize insights for reports, presentations, and advocacy tools.
Monitor industry trends, track policy discussions, and identify key engagement moments.
2. Advocacy & Outreach
Assist in planning and executing both virtual and physical events.
Coordinate cross-team efforts for workshops, panel discussions, and stakeholder engagements.
3. Project Support
Maintain project tracking systems and assist with timelines, reporting, and deliverables.
Document meetings, support follow-ups, and ensure action items are executed.
4. Data & Stakeholder Management
Help manage databases of partners, regulators, and key ecosystem actors.
Track engagement activities and compile performance metrics.
5. Campaign Execution
Contribute to cross-functional campaigns that raise awareness of digital payment solutions and financial inclusion.
6. Skills Growth
Gain hands-on experience in advocacy, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
Build agility by supporting a variety of tasks across multiple teams.
Eligibility
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, international relations, social sciences, or related fields.
- Research Skills: Strong analytical and writing capabilities.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English; French, Portuguese, or Arabic is a plus.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Organization: Strong time-management, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
- Passion: Genuine interest in financial inclusion and digital transformation in Africa.
- Team Player: Positive, collaborative mindset with interpersonal agility.
- Adaptability: Eagerness to learn and contribute to different workstreams.
- Project Tools: Familiarity with project management software is an added advantage.
