GRO GEST Fellowship 2026 in Iceland is a Fully Funded Opportunity for activists and experts seeking to explore foreign opportunities in their profession.
Applications are now open for the GRO GEST Fellowship 2026 at the University of Iceland and it is a fully funded, five-month training program is designed for young professionals from low- and middle-income countries, equipping them with advanced knowledge in gender equality studies and training (GEST).
Upon completion, fellows will receive a postgraduate diploma in Gender Equality Studies. The program runs from January to May 2026 in Reykjavík, Iceland, bringing together 20-25 professionals each year.
The GRO GEST Fellowship 2026 adopts a multidisciplinary approach to promote gender equality and social justice worldwide.

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to professionals from low- and middle-income countries.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Preferably under 35 years old.
- Strong leadership skills and commitment to gender equality.
Application Process
Step 1: Secure a nomination from your supervisor at your workplace. This must be submitted via the GEST website by March 8, 2025.
Step 2: Shortlisted nominees will be invited to submit a formal application in mid-to-late March 2025.
Step 3: Selected applicants will proceed to the final evaluation phase.
