University of Neuchâtel Switzerland is offering a PhD position (70%) in environmental economics, applied econometrics, behavioral economics, experimental economics, and information economics.

PhD Research Focus & Responsibilities
- Conduct applied economics research leading to a PhD.
- Utilize microeconomic theory, behavioral economics, and real-world data for policy analysis.
- Complete core PhD-level coursework in economics.
- Assist in teaching and mentoring undergraduate and master’s students.
- Participate in research activities, workshops, and seminars at the Institute.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree in Economics (or in the final stages of completion).
- Strong research background in environmental, behavioral, or experimental economics.
- Excellent English proficiency (French is a plus).
- Potential to produce high-quality research.
- GRE scores (not mandatory but required by April 2025 if not already submitted).
Application procedure:
Applications should include a cover letter with a statement of motivation and
research interests, a CV (with at least two academic referees who could be contacted for reference letters), a
transcript of grades from a master’s degree, GRE scores (if available), and the candidate’s master’s
dissertation.
Also, Candidates who have not yet completed their master’s degree should indicate this in their cover
letter, append a list of already completed courses / grades by the time of the application, and describe their
intended dissertation work in the cover letter
