The Department of Environmental and Sustainability Sciences at Texas Christian University (TCU) is accepting applications for fully funded MS positions starting Fall 2026, specifically in the area of urban and community forestry.

Prospective research themes include:

1. Evaluating the effectiveness of urban tree planting programs after disaster events
2. Examining the impacts of urban forest loss on ecosystem services
3. Assessing trees’ contribution to human thermal comfort in walkable communities
4. All projects are rooted in sustainability science, exploring interactions between natural and social systems through quantitative or qualitative research methods.

 Eligibility Requirements for Texas Christian University Scholarship in USA

To qualify, applicants must:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 in environmental science, biology, geology, or other science/social science fields.
• Students with non-related majors may still be considered upon review.

Have completed the following courses:

• At least 1 year of biology
• 1 semester of physical geology
• 1 year of chemistry
• 1 semester of calculus or introductory statistics

GRE is not required. Submitted scores are reviewed holistically.
