UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowship 2025 Fully Funded Research Opportunity in Poland

Applications are now open for the 2025 UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowship Program. The fellowship is a joint initiative between UNESCO and the Government of Poland, designed to support international scholars in advancing their research in science, technology, and engineering.

Hosted by AGH University of Kraków, this six-month program will take place from October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. A total of 28 fellows from around the globe will be selected to participate. There are no application fees, and the program offers full financial support.

Research Location:

UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowship 2025 Participants will conduct their research at the AGH University of Kraków, under the UNESCO Chair located at A. Mickiewicza Ave 30, Kraków, Poland.

Eligibility (Who can Apply)

Citizens from the following regions and countries are eligible:

Africa (21 Countries):
Angola, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, DR Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Comoros, Seychelles, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia.

Arab States (2 Countries):
Bahrain, Iraq

Asia & the Pacific (22 Countries):
Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Fiji, Samoa, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Nauru, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Kiribati, Maldives, Tajikistan, Thailand, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Vietnam.

Latin America & the Caribbean (12 Countries):
Barbados, Cuba, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent & the Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago, The Bahamas.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a citizen of one of the eligible countries listed above.
  • Applicants should be 32 years old or younger.
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree.
  • Should review the Terms and Conditions (Annex I) and the fields of research/projects (Annex IV).
  • Fellowship duration must not exceed six months.

  • Completed UNESCO Fellowship Application Form
  • Valid passport
  • Recent passport-sized photo
  • Certified academic certificates in English
  • UNESCO language proficiency certificate
  • Two letters of recommendation
